Oxford &

        Blenheim Palace

18 - 19 November 2012

The ‘dreaming spires’ of Matthew Arnold’s

Oxford and the birthplace of Winston

Churchill combine to make this a delightful

short break.

In the attractive town of

Dorchester-on-Thames our hotel offers

a comfortable place to relax when not

sightseeing.

Blenheim Palace, home of the Duke and

Duchess of Marlborough, is set in 2100

acres of beautiful parkland landscaped by

Capability Brown. One of its gates opens in

Woodstock, a picturesque town near Oxford.

Inside the palace, see the intricate carving,

hand-painted ceilings, and amazing porcelain

collections, tapestries and paintings.

Winston Churchill famously said that this

was the place where he had made two of his

most important decisions: to be born and to

be married. The ‘Living Crafts’ Christmas

Fair will be taking place on the day we visit.
