Beaune & Lake Geneva

10 - 16 September 2010

Beaune has an exceptional heritage with buildings

such as the world famous Beaune Hospices and the

Collegiate Notre Dame Basilica.  Since the Middle

Ages, Beaune has been deeply involved in the wine

trade and beneath the streets lies a treasure that

every visitor should visit.  You can find the whole

of Switzerland on the shores of Lake Geneva,

snowy mountains, wine villages, castles, city night

life and the beautiful cerulean blue lake itself.

Yvoire has a lovely location on the edge of Lake

Geneva and is an attractive village dating back

some 700 years.  It still has some evidence of the

14th century fortifications.   The village is renowned

for flowers, having won many awards for its

flower displays.  The gardens around the castle

are a particular highlight of the village which is one

of the Most Beautiful Villages in France.

Our tour includes a full day sightseeing in Geneva,

a Lake Geneva cruise and a special musical evening

with our friend, Peter Jeffes.
