Ireland – Ring of Kerry

Wonderful scenery, great hospitality

and excellent hotel

5 - 12 June 2009

We depart early morning and travel to the Welsh

port of Pembroke for the crossing to Ireland.  We

spend our first night at Danby Lodge hotel, close to

Rosslare before travelling to Killarney the following

day stopping en-route for a visit to Waterford Crystal

and Jameson Whiskey.  Over the next five days we

enjoy some of the best scenery in Ireland, including

two days with a local guide around the picturesque

Ring of Kerry and the Dingle Peninsular. There will

also be the opportunity to visit Blarney Castle and

enjoy an evening of traditional Irish music and

dance.

Accommodation is at The Lake Hotel – a good

4* hotel in a delightful position on the banks of the

Lakes of Killarney overlooking the Kerry mountains.

The Lake Hotel has good leisure and spa treatment

facilities together with bar, restaurant and lakeside

bistro.  We depart Killarney and begin our return

journey stopping overnight at Ferrycarrig Hotel just a

few miles from the ferry port.  We catch the morning

ferry from Rosslare to Pembroke and then complete

our return journey to Sussex.
