The Austrian Tyrol

with full day in Alsace

Our 9-day tour begins with travelling to the Alsace

region of France.  We spend two nights here, which

not only gives a good break in the journey to Austria

but also gives us a day to explore the Alsace Wine

Trail, visiting Obernai and the picturesque mediaeval

town of Ribeauville. 

 

We complete our journey to Austria on day 3 arriving

at our hotel in Igls in the early evening.  Igls is situated

just outside Innsbruck in the heart of the Austrian Tyrol

– ski-ing country in the winter and an Alpine haven

in the summer.  With four days in the Tyrol there is time

to enjoy the scenery, countryside, towns and villages of

the region, including a guided tour of  Innsbruck, a cable

car ride above Igls and visits to the Swarovski Crystal

Visitor Centre and a Silver Mine.

 

Our hotel is the 4* Hotel Batzenhausl in the village of

Igls.  The hotel is built in traditional chalet style and

has comfortably furnished rooms with en-suite facilities

and balcony.

 

We break our return journey with an overnight stop.
