Unfortunately the French local authority has issued a prefectural decree prohibiting any navigation on the Briare canal for large barge vessels.  This decree is a result of low water, other operational & environmental issues and is effective from April 2023.

Barge Raymonde is a 5-Anchor boat from CroisiEurope’s fleet and over the years we have had very good crews offering excellent service. All food is prepared and cooked by the excellent on-board chef and both lunch and dinner are 3-course meals accompanied by good wines.  All drinks on-board (wine, beer, spirits, fruit juices, water, tea and coffee) are included in the tour price and this also applies to all drinks from the bar except for champagne and wines from the special wine list. There is a hot hub on board for those who wish and, if routes are available, there are cycles on board.

As a result of this CroisiEurope has rerouted our exclusive Barge Charter to a route close to Paris. This is a new route for barges but we will still have our exclusive charter of Barge Raymonde

This cruise offers some good shore excursions including a cruise round Paris at night, a visit to Bougival with a guided tour of Chateau de Malmaison, visit to Pontoise and its lovely cathedral and museum; Auvers-sur-Oise home to some famous artists including Vincent van Gogh. We also visit Chateau de Chantilly, regarded as one of the most beautiful castles in France;  we also have a guided tour of historic Compiegne and the Armistice Memorial.
